Derek and Cindy Johnson

Derek grew up on the western slope of Colorado.  His then-future wife Cindy invited him to attend a Bible study with her while they were in college at Colorado School of Mines, and he did because spending more time together was better than spending more time apart.  The following school year they were both baptized in a church member’s swimming pool, and they have been seeking to live in a way that glorifies God ever since.

They have been part of the Lakewood Church of Christ since 2017.  Derek works as an engineer and apart from work can often be found fixing cars, moving snow, or visiting with people about life.
