Sharing God’s love for the highest possible purpose

How might a church go about sharing God’s love?

We’ve focused on three specific ways: service, hospitality, and growth. Everything we do is put through the filter of these three ideas. Are we showing hospitality? Does this produce spiritual growth? Are we being service minded?

  • Hospitality

In God’s kingdom, there is no us vs. them. We’re all on the same team. We work hard to welcome others with love, acceptance, and dignity.

  • Service

In God’s Kingdom, power is not hoarded for personal gain, but is leveraged to help others in need. LCC aspires to find creative solutions as a team to individual and community needs so that our community can know that God doesn’t just care about souls, God cares about lives.

  • Growth

We know the spiritual journey can be hard, and that it’s easier when you can journey with others. Our congregation aspires to be a safe space for people to grow, learn, and mature in their relationship with God and with others without having to feel pressured to be perfect.

As a church family we want to fulfill our highest possible purpose. What is the highest possible purpose of the church?

We believe through Jesus all things can be brought together in unity. (2 Corinthians 5:11-21) On earth, the center of God’s plan for continually revealing this unity is the church. (Ephesians 3:10-11) When we live out this truth in love through compassion, humility, and sacrifice, we fulfill our highest possible purpose.
(Philippians 2:1-4)
